Why Glen Gorse?

Situated in the leafy Leicester Suburb of Oadby, Glen Gorse is a hidden treasure trove of mature, cultivated landscapes, where nature thrives and golfers are challenged.

Our well established and meticulously cared for Golf Course has 3 of the hardest holes in the country, and in 2020 we proudly hosted the infamous Jamega Tour. Glen Gorse has rightly earned a reputation as being a true test of golfing ability.

The Club

The Club at Glen Gorse is a members club ran by the officials and supported by all of its members, volunteers and players.

We have a vibrant club house which is open to the public and available for hire and offers a variety of light bites and delicious gourmet meals.

Lovely parkland course. Par 72 with several long par 4s. It is a relatively flat course so ideal for senior golfers but still with plenty of challenging holes. It is kept in very good condition and the greens are also very good with consistent pace.

We play Glen Gorse every year in their festival week and have always been made to feel very welcome. The course is very well presented and challenging without being unfair. If you have the opportunity to play it you won't be disappointed well worth a day out .

Rich and Mike are two of the friendliest golf pros I know and are always welcoming. Nicely stocked shop and plenty of cold and hot drinks to keep you refreshed, don't forget some chocolate!!!!!

Really enjoyed the course. Tees were well maintained, fairways were rolly-polly and in good condition. Bunker conditions were good and the greens were true and medium-fast. All in all, we'll be back, and for £15+£1, we felt it was good value. Patrons that I met were very friendly and the club house balcony has a great view. We shall be back.

Testing course, in great condition. The staff in the pro shop and the club house were second to none.

Great golf course, fantastic scenery.
